San Diego Baby

San Diego, baby! Did I tell you Stephen sent me on a mommy get-away weekend? Katie and I flew to Sunny San Diego two weekends ago to visit Stasia. Stephen did a great job with the boys and seemed to have had lots of fun! Needless to say, so did we!

Friday morning, we dropped Stasia off at work and took a walk on the beach

Later, we went to Hotel Del Coronado to check out the beach, pool and historic hotel
We were obviously hit on the entire weekend....ugh!!
Sunset at George's with blueberry mojitos in hand couldn't be beat!






Would you believe we went surfing? These were the pros:
This is how the amatuers do it. Step 1) load surf board into jeep
Step 2) wet suit up
Step 3) Try to think happy thoughts
Step 5) Smile, even if you are afraid of stepping on a sting ray, being eaten by a shark, being run over by another surfer, and being beaten by waves and dragged out to sea
Stasia had some amazing friends who took care of us in the water and even cooked us dinner! Surfing turned out to be a blast!
I was the only one who wanted to see the view from Mt. Solidad. Stasia re-inacted the scene from Rocky.
