Adler quotes

Adler: "Get out of my way!"
Mommy: "Adler, that is not a way to talk to Mommy."
Adler: "Get out of my way, please!"

While doing P90x video w/ Stephen:
Mommy: "Adler, are you getting hungry for lunch?"
Adler: "No, Mommy, you keep playing with Daddy"

After Sadie stole the boiled egg I had fixed on Adler's plate for lunch:
Mommy: "Sadie!, UGGGGHHHHH!!!"
Adler: "Mommy, you NO do that..."UGGGHHHH"!"
(We had recently talked about attitude and not making the sound UUGGGGHH when frustrated...geez, wonder where he got that!)

Adler: "Mommy, you poo poo in the potty?"
Mommy: "umm, uh huh.." (sorry if tmi)
Adler: "Mommy! You get a sucker!!"

While changing a diaper
Adler: "I need butt cream!" (referring to Desitin)

Adler: "Mommy, I like Ramsay"
Hmmm, first crush? We love Ramsay too and are definitely pro-arranged marriages at our house. :)

While getting boys ready for a bath:
Mommy: "Adler, ok, time to jump in the tub"
Adler: "OK, Mommy!"
As I look up to see Adler standing on the bath tub ledge, literally about to "jump" into the tub of water!
Mommy: "Um, I mean, crawl in very carefully!"
Adler: "Oh! Okay, Mommy!"

Places to go

I know I'm behind on posts. Since San Diego, we've been to Arkansas and Mississippi - call it the "grand parent" tour of the South. Blogs and pictures to come, but wanted to say...have you seen Stephen's new website? If not, check it out here. He has some great family videos up.
Time for bed now! I've P90xed myself to complete wastedness.

And, yes, we've just begun...to live!

It's a new era at the Hunton house. Both boys can fit into a shopping cart! We had a successful trip to Target this week....that may actually not be a GOOD thing! :)

San Diego Baby

San Diego, baby! Did I tell you Stephen sent me on a mommy get-away weekend? Katie and I flew to Sunny San Diego two weekends ago to visit Stasia. Stephen did a great job with the boys and seemed to have had lots of fun! Needless to say, so did we!

Always a reason to strike a pose.... (pics compliments of KT)
Friday morning, we dropped Stasia off at work and took a walk on the beach

Later, we went to Hotel Del Coronado to check out the beach, pool and historic hotel
We were obviously hit on the entire weekend....ugh!!
Sunset at George's with blueberry mojitos in hand couldn't be beat!

Would you believe we went surfing? These were the pros:
This is how the amatuers do it. Step 1) load surf board into jeep
Step 2) wet suit up
Step 3) Try to think happy thoughts
Step 5) Smile, even if you are afraid of stepping on a sting ray, being eaten by a shark, being run over by another surfer, and being beaten by waves and dragged out to sea
Stasia had some amazing friends who took care of us in the water and even cooked us dinner! Surfing turned out to be a blast!
I was the only one who wanted to see the view from Mt. Solidad. Stasia re-inacted the scene from Rocky.
Good morning at Stasia's place...

OK, now for my pics..... KT and I met in Houston

Back to our Friday morning...we had the most amazing mochas and shared a beautiful blueberry muffin

Stasia's room

Thanks, Stasia, for an awesome weekend!

Posting away..

Lottie and Eli.....Lottie has her princess patch on, she is strengthening the eyesight in her right eye. She is such a smilie girl and her doctors are so impressed with her progress. We love you, Lottie!
Watching big brother Adler take on the Piedmont Park playground. (his bottom says "life is good") :)
Buddies.......

Auntie Meg and Uncle Benjy came to play...
Pool side with Colby

The Boyz

Adler:
Is still running circles at full speed around the house. Learning new words like "hot mess" which is one he picked up from a commercial for a reality TV show. Swimming this summer has been off and on. It seems when we are consistant with the pool, he does great, but if we take a break for a couple weeks, he seems to regress pretty easily and takes a while to warm back up to the water. Our other challenge is his ears. One ear still has a plug and it sensitive to getting water in it. He is sensitive in general regarding his ears because he's had so many infections that even water in the ears at bath time can be quit traumatic. He's been playing very well with friends lately! We had the Claytons over one morning and Adler and Colby played so well together, there wasn't ONE argument! Jamie and I couldn't believe it! Could it be these boys are growing up on us?? He is my still super sweet, happy boy, who still give me the best hugs and kisses. He is my little helper with Eli. We make a great team!

Eli Beckett: Happy 6 months!!
Sweet little Eli is my little cuddle bug. He is such a little lover. I think he may the world's best baby. We spent time at the pool today, and he was completely content playing in his bouncy seat and cheering on Adler. I just couldn't believe it! He is such a delight! He is sitting up supported and can "army" crawl as of YESTERDAY (hello!), but IS mobile and can get a toy off the floor that he wants! (usually one of Adler's cars or trains) Definitely trying to keep up with his big brother! He has the most expressive smile, I love how he smiles with his whole body. His mohawk has gotten so long, now, that it's become a bit of a comb-over. He is very interested in balls and loves the swimming pool balls the same way Adler did at his age.

I couldn't feel more blessed! And to top it off, Stephen is sending me on a Girl's Trip to San Diego! I'll be leaving Thursday, returning Sunday. Thank you, thank you, Stephen!! I owe you big time and appreciate this so much!
Here we are playing with our friends...Natalie (I think dressed as Snow White)-5, Caleb-6, Ramsay-2.5, Graycen-4, Adler-2.75, and that's Emerson behind him-1.5..it was hard to get them all in the pic!
Over at an all girls' house, Adler still seems to find a car to play with....even if it is pink. And yes, Barbie is naked :)
Eli with that sweet smile and tongue! And yeppers, that's a Red Stripe box in the back. Also known as Adler's "garage" for his cars and also known as "daddy juice".
Ever patient and loving, Sadie, allowing Adler to "share" his Thomas stickers with her.
