Adler:
Is still running circles at full speed around the house. Learning new words like "hot mess" which is one he picked up from a commercial for a reality TV show. Swimming this summer has been off and on. It seems when we are consistant with the pool, he does great, but if we take a break for a couple weeks, he seems to regress pretty easily and takes a while to warm back up to the water. Our other challenge is his ears. One ear still has a plug and it sensitive to getting water in it. He is sensitive in general regarding his ears because he's had so many infections that even water in the ears at bath time can be quit traumatic. He's been playing very well with friends lately! We had the Claytons over one morning and Adler and Colby played so well together, there wasn't ONE argument! Jamie and I couldn't believe it! Could it be these boys are growing up on us?? He is my still super sweet, happy boy, who still give me the best hugs and kisses. He is my little helper with Eli. We make a great team!
Eli Beckett: Happy 6 months!!
Sweet little Eli is my little cuddle bug. He is such a little lover. I think he may the world's best baby. We spent time at the pool today, and he was completely content playing in his bouncy seat and cheering on Adler. I just couldn't believe it! He is such a delight! He is sitting up supported and can "army" crawl as of YESTERDAY (hello!), but IS mobile and can get a toy off the floor that he wants! (usually one of Adler's cars or trains) Definitely trying to keep up with his big brother! He has the most expressive smile, I love how he smiles with his whole body. His mohawk has gotten so long, now, that it's become a bit of a comb-over. He is very interested in balls and loves the swimming pool balls the same way Adler did at his age.
I couldn't feel more blessed! And to top it off, Stephen is sending me on a Girl's Trip to San Diego! I'll be leaving Thursday, returning Sunday. Thank you, thank you, Stephen!! I owe you big time and appreciate this so much!
