Prayers for Adler at 8am tomorrow

I think most of you know of our history of Adler's ear troubles and that we are going through with tubes and possible adenoidectomy. The surgery is scheduled for tomorrow, at 8 a.m. It is going to be a very tough morning for Stephen and me as we have to be at the hospital at 6:40 a.m., leaving the house around 6:10 a.m.. Adler also will not be able to drink or eat anything after mid-night tonight so we will have to be holding him off from anything until after his surgery. The nurse told me he should have plenty of fluids today (juice and water) so Adler is having the best day since I'm letting him drink as much apple juice as he wants.(of which he is usually restricted) :)

The tube surgery is expected to be very quick (it only takes about 10 minutes). They will access the state of his adenoids and make the decision if they need to be removed or not. (in which case, if they are removed, the surgery will take about 25 minutes, they will have to insert an IV and he will be on a breathing tube). Would you please take a moment to pray for Dr. Parks, the doctor performing the surgery and making the decisions...for God-given wisdom and skill to make the best decision for Adler and for a successful procedure. For me and Stephen for strength, peace and patience. And also for Adler, that he would be easy-going in the morning, for safety and protection while he is under anethesia, and for a quick and successful recovery. Thanks so much for your continued prayers and support of our family. They mean so much to us!

I'll pray for the little guy and for you guys too.

If you are going to Children's Health Care, we had the best experience there. They were absolutely wonderful.

Please update your blog when you can to let us know how it goes.
