Ok, I'll admit it...

I was at the grocery store, and was trying to find something quick to fix for Adler for lunch...Mac and cheese was going to take too long, another turkey sandwich?, mmmm....what about some organic ravioli? I went over to soup section to look at the Chef Boyardee area to see if there was an organic option...none of that junk from the 80s for Adler! Hmmm....nothing there.....went over to the baby isle to see if there was an Earth's Best option. Nope, just those toddler microwaveables there and I won't buy those either. The melt down began...Adler had been sitting in the cart now (not ever the race car cart because they were all taken and he was really upset about that too) for about 45 minutes....what to buy...what to buy...oh what the heck....I bought the Chef Boyardee ravioli and we were out of the store.

We got home, and I fixed up a little plate, thinking...oh man, he is going to LOVE this stuff!! I remember begging my mom to buy Spaghetti O's and all that stuff for us growing up. My mom was a pretty healthy buyer and I don't really remember her buying it too often. But when she did...oohhhh.....I was one happy camper.

Well, to my surprise, Adler wanted NOTHING to do with the stuff. He just kept shaking his head and saying "NOPE!!!". By this time I was starving....and I took a bite. OH man, it was SO good!! I freakin' ate the entire bowl of that stuff before I knew it! I decided it was best to not look at the ingredients and product information and just enjoy the nostalgic after taste of my Chef Boyardee! Ok, I admitted it, I actually ate an entire can of Chef Boyardee/Mystery meat ravioli for lunch!!!

probably a good thing that he hates the stuff..you are a good mommy - and I could eat "abc's and 123's" ANYTIME!

Yea, I still catch myself hesitating in the Chef Boyardee isle. Sometimes it feels so good to be so bad. Last night I had a dream about eating a LIttle Debbie Swiss cake roll. Curse you partially hydrogenated oil!
