HELP, my life has been taken hostage by Disney Pixar's "Cars"
Seriously, help! I'm currently watching Cars for a second time today, (and viewing number 153). At the same time, Adler is playing with his Disney Pixar's interactive "play a sound" book, also while making car noises with the gajillion match-box cars that have invaded our house (thanks to Bonnie who's "son" was tired of them, but I'm realizing it was probably more like "mom" was tired one). Adler wakes up talking about cars, says "night-night Queen" (Lighting McQueen) before bed, and makes car noises the rest of the time he is awake. He only wants to watch Cars and if I have anything else on, he gets a kung-fu grib on my finger and leads me to the TV and pleads "Cars?, Cars?, On? On?". Since we are both sicky today, I am giving in, but I really do feel at this point, my life has been taken hostage. Any suggestions?

you are cute.
ha! and it's not like he is sitting and "quietly"playing with those cars..
vrooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooom vrooooooooooooooooooooooooom.
Maybe it's a "boys born on October 29th" thing because Daniel is doing the same exact thing. Asleep in the hotel room the other night he woke me up saying, "Cars, cars, truck, cars, bus." He won't get into bed without Mater and McQueen. Don't you just love having boys!
We went through that same phase with Dora. Kate was OBSESSED! It lasted a few months and was quite intense like Adler, but then it was over, she had seen every episode a million times, and now she doesn't even like to watch the show! Good luck. Kate is into the princesses now...same level of obsession, but at least there are several of them so it's not quite as bad.
